Following the recent British Swimming Championships and British International Disability Swimming Championships swimmers from CoSSS have had numerous GB and England call ups.

Becky Turner Apr2010Rebecca Turner has been picked to swim at the Commonwealth Games in India in October in the 4x200m Freestyle Team.   There are further trials for this event at the ASA National Championships being held at Sunderland on 18-21 August where other swimmers from the squad will be hoping to qualify.

James Crisp Apr2010James Crisp, after two very successful weekends of competition has qualified for the IPC World SwimmingChampionships being held in Holland on 15-21 August.  James, a past Gold Medallist at this event in the 400m Freestyle, has qualified in the 400m Freestyle, 200m IM and 100m Backstroke.  He is the World Record holder in the 100m Backstroke and broke the 200M IM British Record at the British International Disability Championships last weekend.



Braxston Apr2010Tom Sunter Apr2010Braxston Timm and Tom Sunter have been selected to compete for GB in Helsinki on 14-18 July at the LEN European Junior Championships.  Russ Barber has been picked to coach the team so will also be in Helsinki.  Braxston and Tom follow a long line of successful Sheffield swimmers who have competed at the European Junior Championships these include Max Partridge, Chris Middleton, Rebecca Turner, Charlotte Broadbent, Jack Dunn and Ellie Faulkner.


Ellie Faulkner Apr2010Ellie Faulkner, Tom Sunter and Matthew Johnson are to represent GB in Israel, having been selected to compete in theLEN Open Water Cup on 8-9 May.  This doubles as the qualifying stage for the European Junior Open Water Championships to be held in July.


Ricky Speed Apr2010Ricky Speed will be representing England in Italy after being selected to swim in the LEN Open Water Cup on 13 June.  Mark Lappin will also be there as he has been selected to be team coach.
