The third and final weekend of the Yorkshires took place at Ponds Forge this time. 50m sprints, the 800 freestyle and a lot of action-packed relays were scheduled. Team Steel was showing no tiredness and kept the medals coming in. With 13 golds, 7 silvers, 7 bronzes and 56 top ten finishes the long course Yorkshire Championships came to a close this year in style.

The second weekend of the Yorkshire long course Championships took place last weekend at the John Charles Centre in Leeds. 42 City of Sheffield swimmers were back in action aiming to emulate the previous weekend’s success. With 59 top ten finishes, 7 third places, 6 second places and 16 first places it was another great weekend for Team Steel.

The Yorkshire Long Course Championships are held over 3 weekends at both John Charles Centre in Leeds and Ponds Forge in Sheffield, the first of these took place last weekend in Leeds. The freezing temperatures outside did not stop any of the 44 City of Sheffield Swimmers from heating up the competition with their great times and podium finishes.
