Teaspoon Gala Report

The new season is already fully underway for Teamsteel. After a long few weeks working on skills and endurance that will be so important for the second half of the season. It was the ideal time for some sprinting and racing at our very own Teaspoon Gala on September 22nd.
Sheffield and District Championships
- Details
The Age group development squad and JO3 were the first groups to start the competitive season at Team Steel with a stellar performance in the Sheffield and District meet. Led by coaches Charlotte and Lauren the swimmers did an amazing job getting 19 gold , 30 silver and 25 bronze with many more personal bests. AGD is clearly a thriving squad and working very hard in training; we are looking forward to seeing their performances this season.
Starts and Turns Camp Review

City of Sheffield Swim Squad would like to thank all the swimmers who participated at our Starts and Turns Camp on the 6thJuly 2019 at Worksop College. We felt it was a huge success and hope you all enjoyed it and learned a lot.
Time Trial Results

Yorkshire and British Masters
- Details
City of Sheffield Masters had a busy time in June with the Yorkshire Championships at Ponds Forge and the British Masters Championships in Swansea only two weeks later. From the results it is clear that Masters swimming at Team Steel has taken some massive strides forward in this last year. Most of this is down to the enthusiasm and energy Coach Wendy brings to the squad. The performances at the Yorkshire masters were the perfect inspiration for our swimmers at the British Masters Championships in Swansea.
No Frills Report

City of Sheffield hosted their annual No Frills Meet on the same weekend as the Glasgow International Meet and the final weekend of the NERs. As usual with our home gala we are reliant on the amazing generosity of the volunteers who help to ensure the Meet runs smoothly. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and to Joan Weatherington and Mick Budd for organising these helpers. Having announced on Saturday morning, I can say the meet ran extremely well and seemed to be a great success.
Blackpool Rocks Meet

Over the first May weekend, JO2 embarked to the seaside in Blackpool, but they were not there for the thrills of the rollercoasters of the Promenade. Twenty threeTeam Steel swimmers had entered the Blackpool Rocks swim meet, hoping to show their abilities and rock the competition.
BML Round Two
- Details
The second round of the Barnsley Minors League took place on 12th May at Edlington. It was again a great performance from Team Steel taking the 1st spot, putting us in an awesome position at the half way point of the 4 BML rounds.
